Wunderkammer Exhibition / ArtwalkSept 2023 - Present
Wunderkammer Overview
The Wunderkammer Exhibition is a bi-annual student showcase for the Game Design, Interactive Arts and Sound Art department at the Maryland Institute College of Art. The showcase held a variety of interactive mediums including: wall projections, robotics, card games, creative coding and computer games. I have participated in a 10-minute live electronic performance during the opening reception and showcased a working prototype of my final thesis project.
Interactive Projection
“With Sound”With the use of IR cameras, I’ve developed an effective body and hand tracking system to introduce interactivity to soothing gradient visuals.
As participants glide their hands onto the
projected wall, gradient visuals will paint their trails followed by reactive
ambient tones. The installation tracks participant’s hands to control different parameters of sounds. Through this project, participants can experience the
human body as a medium or instrument.
Alternate Interactive Visual
Currently, in preparation for another exhibition show, I am creating a dual interactive projection installation with the gradient visuals (you see above) along with a monochrome / noise visuals
The noise visuals are also interactive with hand movement and will have it’s own live sound patch of EMF / noise tones.
The two visual systems will communicate and alter eachothers viusal and audio qualities.
